Hints & Tips whenpacking items.

Clothing

When storing clothes make sure you give them a they’re 100% dry and then to maximise space vacuum pack them this will keeps them clean and ready to be used at a moment’s notice.

Books

To optimise your book’s life in storage ensure your books are dry before being packed. To make them easy to transfer its recommend that they are packed in several small boxed rather than larger ones.

Domestic Machinery

Lawn mowers and other equipment must be drained of petrol and oil as this is a fire hazard.

Metal items and tools

Make sure you wipe down your metal items such as tools to minimise rust. Use bubble wrap to pack them away from furniture to avoid stains.

White goods

When storing white goods make sure you are keeping them empty, clean and dry before storing.
Leave doors slightly ajar to prevent mould.

Insurance

All of the goods that you have stored in Loxon Storage are your property and remain your sole responsibility. Therefore, you should have them covered by Insurance as they are not insured by the Self Storage Centre.

Clean and Protect What you are Storing

Cleaning your goods prior to placing them in storage will help reduce the chance of mould  or discolouration of items . Mould can form even in a dry space, if there is organic matter such as food or grease present on goods. Vacuum rugs ,mattresses and lounges before covering them to protect them whilst in storage.
